Clear answers to the questions we expect customers to ask before installation, servicing or repair.

Ventilation FAQ

These are general explanations. The correct system and settings depend on the property and the existing installation.

What ventilation systems does Sterling install?

Sterling's main focus is ventilation installation and support for EVOAQ systems. The appropriate configuration depends on the home, layout and project requirements.

Can Sterling service an existing ventilation system?

Yes. We provide servicing, fault finding, maintenance and repair support for existing ventilation systems, subject to system type and parts availability.

Can ventilation be installed in an existing home?

Yes. Existing homes can be assessed for a new ventilation system or an upgrade. Access, duct routes, controls, airflow requirements and the building layout all affect the practical solution.

Why is effective wet-area extraction important?

Bathrooms and kitchens generate moisture and pollutants. Effective extraction removes air from the source rather than relying on whole-home ventilation alone.

How often should a ventilation system be serviced?

There is no single interval that suits every system. Filter condition, operating environment, system type and manufacturer requirements should be considered. Ask Sterling about a maintenance schedule for your system.

Central vacuum FAQ

Does Sterling still service central vacuum systems?

Yes. Central vacuum remains a service area, including support for existing Homesol systems. Sterling's main business focus is now ventilation.

Can you diagnose low suction?

Yes. Low suction can have several causes, including blockages, filters, hose or inlet issues, duct restrictions or a power-unit problem. A service assessment can identify the likely cause.

Can an existing central vacuum be repaired?

Often, yes. The repair depends on the system condition, component availability and cost compared with replacement or upgrade.

Still not sure?
